Today is the day!

I finally did it! I joined CURVES today. I had my first workout with a trainer and it felt really good to get back in to working out! For those of you that don't know what CURVES is, you can go to

http://www.curvesinformation.com/

to find out more. I have gained a lot of weight since we got married and it is really starting to make me feel not good about myself. So, I am making a change.

This may be weird to some of you as something to blog about, but it is important to me and I am totally OK with the occassional check up's on me from you all to make sure I am still keeping up. A little accountability is a good thing-especially for me who tends to be a little...undisciplined. Anyway, today was the day!

I've heard lots of good things about Curves. We have a few down here, but, alas, I don't have childcare! I've gained, oh, about 70 lbs since having 4 kids, and I, too, feel pretty bad about how I look. I need inspiration and motivation.....Maybe later I'll hop on the treadmill....

Good for you, Kim. David and I recently hopped on the Weight Watcher's bandwaggon. So far so good... Best of luck to you!

Isn't it sad that we're approaching 30...in a few years! Our metabolism isn't what it used to be. I have to figure out what I'm going to do in the winter months since stroller/wagon rides with the girls won't be a possibility. They help keep me active, but not as active as I'd like.

I am proud of you, Kim. We have a Curves here in Marion that several of my friends and family go to. (Jim and I go to the IWU gym because it's a free perk of his job.) I actually should be honest and say we "went" to the IWU gym since neither of have been for months. We blame it on Maddie's sleep habits, but it's really lack of self-discipline. You may motivate me to go back...

I hear ya on the "undisciplined" part! I'm perfectly honest with myself about that... which is why I don't even start any programs in the first place. I'm proud of you for even getting this far - you've already outdone me! :)
